After almost 30 years of existence, only now Dolce & Gabbana launch their first jewelry collection. No doubt that the collection reflects traditional Italian handicrafts and iconography.
The jewellery is divided in five larger themes: Confession, which comprises the jewellery that resembles Rosaries and Devotion includes the jewellery adorned with the images of the Virgin Mary. The Love theme, of course, is made up of the heart shaped charms, while the Family theme comprises secular icons, like the horseshoe and the four leaf clover. Finally, the Sicily theme, comprises elements of all four of the other subfamilies, symbolizing how in Sicily, devotion, confession, love and family are all rolled into one. The materials used are gold, cherubs, rubies and hand-made antique pendants with Virgin Mary and pearls.
